Aubrey Moskal has joined our lineup as an ambassador on the Running team! We are extremely proud and grateful to have Aubrey as part of our Elite Team of Ambassadors.
In 2013, Aubrey graduated from West Virginia University where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Second Master’s in Reading. While attending WVU Aubrey competed on the cross country and track team for 5 years.
Aubrey is currently teaching full-time as an elementary teacher at Suncrest Primary School.
Why does Aubrey run? Well she answered this question by saying: “I run because it is so simple, all that is required is a good pair of running shoes! I truly love setting out on a long run, whether it is alone or with my friends, it is so refreshing, mind cleansing, and running just makes me smile. I’m also a very goal driven person and I love a challenge. Running allows me to set big goals as well as small goals for myself and of course, running is always challenging! I enjoy pushing my body to its limits and testing myself each time I compete. Running has taught me valuable lessons about being dedicated, committed, hardworking, and never giving up. All of these qualities I hope to teach to my future elementary students!”
Aubrey has strong ties to the Morgantown area where she resides near her twin sister Lauren and other family members. She loves training and running in the pristine Allegheny Mountains near Ohiopyle. She sometimes enjoys a refreshing ice bath in the mountain fresh waters of the Youghiogheny River.
Her running store is located in the heart of her hometown, Morgantown Running.
Aubrey ran her first marathon in November of 2013 at the Marshall University Marathon, located in Huntington, WV. Her efforts resulted in a time of 2:40.14. This time qualified Aubrey to compete in the upcoming Olympic trials in February 2016. She followed that feat up with also qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Trials in the half-marathon distance. Aubrey obtained a personal Best of 1:13.09 at the 2014 Garry Bjorklund half-marathon in Duluth, MN. Since that time she has competed in many other races but her focus is on the race in Los Angeles in 2016 where she will compete for a chance to join the USA Olympic team.
Aubrey’s outlook on life is simply, “Live. Love. Run. I believe if you follow those simple words, you’re going to be successful in all aspects of life. I also put all of my trust and belief in my coach, my training, and myself. I have learned to be patient with running and if I allow my patience and trust to show through in my training, success is sure to come when the time is right! Always believe in yourself and your training!”
Aubrey is currently an elite distance runner for Oiselle. When she’s not running, you’ll probably find her baking and cooking. She enjoys creating her own recipes.
Aubrey has a golden doodle named Sam who is “more than awesome” as she puts it. We think having Aubrey as part of our team is quite awesome too!
We look forward to her posting about her journey and perhaps some recipes using Cocoa Elite products.
