Brett Morley


Brett graduated from Landrum High School in Landrum, SC.

While attending class there, he was an All-State runner in 2010. Brett went on to attend Spartanburg Methodist College and continued to improve upon his running career. One of his achievements was earning All-American honors at the NJCAA Half Marathon Championship, placing 15th.

After two years at SMC,  Brett transferred to North Greenville University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2015.

His running accomplishments continued to accumulate.

For example, he earned All-Conference, All-Regional, and Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Brett is currently a 5th-grade elementary teacher at New Prospect Elementary in Inman SC. While working for the district, he also has the pleasure of being the head coach for cross country and track and field at Landrum High School.

He now resides in Greenville, South Carolina. Brett is coached by Jeff Milliman and runs for the Greenville Running Company. As the two-time (2015 and 2016) reigning South Carolina Male Long Distance Runner, Brett is training to earn a spot in the 2020 Marathon Olympic Trials.

Brett’s personal best in the half marathon distance is 1:07:28. He ran the Richmond Marathon with a time of 2:32:08.

While not training, Brett enjoys coaching and working at the Greenville Running Company. He is also passionate about helping other runners achieve their personal goals.
