Mike has always had a passion for athletics.
Growing up in the Pittsburgh area, Mike has always used some form of physical activity to keep him active. As a young child, it was t-ball and soccer. In high school, it was wrestling and hockey, followed by racing motorcycle dirt bikes. Mike is an avid competitor and enjoys the thrill of the rush of adrenaline. In fact, he has even competed in billiards and fishing tournaments. He has no fear of competing in any new sports competition.
On October 1, 2016, Mike’s life took a major detour. As a result of a driver who ran a red light, Mike was in a motorcycle accident while visiting Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The collision almost took his life. Hence, Mike was hospitalized in an induced coma for 9 days. He suffered both skull and jaw fractures and brain hemorrhaging.
Amazingly, not even 2 months after the crash, Mike was back on the dirt bike track; he also ran a 5k race!
This is where Mike’s new journey begins…
