Shannon Miller Bain
Shannon got her start in athletic activities during high school by playing soccer and running track and cross country. Afterwards, Shannon attended Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY on a full scholarship for cross country and track & field. She studied Physical Education: Fitness & Wellness Management. In addition, Shannon crossed over into physical therapy and rehab.
In 2006, Shannon began to teach fitness and offer personal training.
Her passion is for the fitness field in its complete entirety! Shannon is always full of energy and on the go! She even competed in violin competitions for several years. Shannon is considered a semi-pro runner/ELITE RUNNER. She has been sponsored by Brooks and Skechers Performance, in addition to numerous other companies.
Previously, Shannon qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials in the marathon.
Shannon’s personal best times are as follows:
- 5k: 16:55
- 10k: 34:20
- 15k: 56:00
- Half marathon: 1:17
- Marathon: 2:45
In July of 2017, Shannon married her husband, Niko Scott Bain, and has been living in the honeymoon phase ever since. She enjoys going to the beach, palm trees, and running!
Currently, Shannon is the lead instructor at Crunch Fitness where she teaches, leads, and coordinates various classes and programs. Furthermore, Shannon provides personal training on a one-on-one basis.
Shannon is currently training and preparing herself to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Trials in the marathon and 10k.
