Ohio State Triathlon Club

Triathlon Club

Founded in 2005 by Jun Yamaguchi, The Ohio State Triathlon Club serves many athletes of all abilities affiliated with the Ohio State University. These members achieve their athletic goals in a stimulating, supportive, and sociable environment.  Furthermore, the club educates and informs their members about current health and fitness information. The Ohio State Triathlon Club helps beginners finish their first triathlons while challenging experienced triathletes to become more competitive. More importantly, club members always have fun while participating in competitive and recreational training and racing events in Ohio and across the country.

The Ohio State Triathlon Club participates in Mid East Collegiate Triathlon Conference races.

Since the inception of the USAT Collegiate National Championships the club has competed in this annual event.  In addition, club members enjoy many benefits:

Individualized coaching from qualified triathlon-specific coaches

Exclusive practice 6 days a week at one of the nation’s finest recreation centers

A diverse and welcoming community of athletes with a common passion for the sport who are driven towards improvement

Social media presence

Social events, including annual Spring Break trips

Support of local retailers that suit members’ various dietary and training needs

Because triathlon can be an inaccessible sport to undertake, the Ohio State Triathlon Club continues to accept new members while supporting existing ones on a personal level.  It is the belief of this organization that anyone who has the drive and desire can become a triathlete.  The Ohio State Triathlon Club accomplishes this by fostering an environment that will encourage a lifestyle of physical fitness, proper nutrition, and lifelong athletes.
